Gigantic Dinosaur Puppet Experimentation
Gigantic dinosaur puppets were planned to accompany a live concert of Ian Cooke's music, including songs from the album, "Antiquasuaria". The team included the talents of Andryn Arithson, Cory Gilstrap, Ian Cooke and David Farquharson. Although the project never fully materialized, the spirit of the dinosaurs remains inside of me.

Ic
Poetry and Soundscore by Serena Chopra
Directed by Andryn Arithson
Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25. 2016.
Pranamor Shakti Healing Arts (formerly Pranamor Yoga Arts)
853 Santa Fe Drive, Denver. 80204.
In this stunning and unique performance, writer Serena Chopra joined Splintered Light Theater, for an unparalleled shadow performance of Chopra's forthcoming book, Ic (Horse Less Press, 2016).
Through shadow performance, Arithson articulates Chopra's Ic, short for Icarus, in his ascent to the sun of American greatness that, in its brightness is defined by whiteness, in its dominance is a fortress of masculinity, and in its singularity, rejects queerness, otherness and multiplicity. At the apex of his flight, the sun burns away Ic's marginalized identities, and he watches as his shoes, locket, song and clothes fall, as marginalia, into the city lakes below where the sun is scattered and spread around the bodies of divers (also divers, in the Middle English usage, meaning diverse). Who will claim this marginalia? Who will appropriate this abandoned identity?
